Nikki & Drew's Elopement

Nikki and Drew were in love and they wanted to get married - but it was the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and they wanted to keep it small. They asked me to make them a simple one-tiered cake for their small ceremony with just their children, an officiant, and the officiant's wife.

I decided to give the cake extra height by incorporating three layers - one chocolate and two yellow cake. It was then filled and frosted with a swiss meringue buttercream and decorated with a simple D <3 N to match their simple ceremony.

It was loved and enjoyed by all with leftovers to spare. It was a joy to work with Nikki and Drew to help make their day exactly how they wanted it.
